Grey had the right idea to poach Ester Botha from Sentraal High School.
Grey must have made Botha one hell of an offer for her to leave Sentraal where she was actually happy and made quite a bundle with her extra maths classes. Her afternoon and evening extra maths classes are also always full. Many Grey boys attend these extra classes of hers for which she charges quite a substantial fee. Wonder if she's going to continue these extra classes for a fee at Grey????
If so, Grey is just back at square one, as teachers who teach extra classes withhold knowledge or teach hardly anything at class to be in the position to teach extra classes that is charged for mainly because the learner now obviously needs the extra classes and ensures an extra income for the teacher, TAX FREE. It's no use poaching a teacher and allowing the teacher to continue the same practices. Parents don't have extra money to pay double, especially now-a-days; in other words pay school fees and on top of that pay for extra classes, particularly at such a supposedly prestigious school as Grey. Such a distinguished school should have the best teachers and NO extra classes.
The English classes at Grey would like to know if they're also going to have her as a teacher, since she is Afrikaans and they need her more than the Afrikaans classes. If not, they demand a new teacher for them too, who is equally good at teaching maths or even better. There is a difference between a maths teacher and a maths teacher who can actually teach maths! Botha is one of the selected few that can really teach maths!

ReplyDeleteMaybe you boys should pay attention in classes, then teachers won't have to give extra classes at all...but you all like to disrupt classes like crazy people and back chat adults like you have no manners! Get your facts straight!!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree!!!! As a boy in a English class, I can say that sone boys are very rude and disruptive in classes. The teachers spent most of the time just trying to get everyone to be quiet and get their books out!

DeleteAg dankie Here tog vir die nuwe wiskunde onderwyseres! Nou gaan ons seuns darem iemand hê wat wiskunde behoorlik kan aanbied. Hoop van harte die skool gaan 'n plan maak om vir die Engelse ouens ook by haar te laat klas hê of dan iemand soortgelyk te kry.
ReplyDeleteAg tannie, kom bietjie by man...die res het die "domste" seuns deur matriek gekry...dis nie die onnies wat die probleem is nie, dis die seuns wat hul besig hou met pornografie en k@k eerder as om op te let en te konsentreer in die klas, van hulle 'bunk' ook so baie dat daar glad nie gewerk word nie, en lieg vir julle wat ouers is en se die onnies is k@k...gaan kyk wat gaan aan op jou seun se foon...daar is vir seker nie 'n "Doen beter in Wiskunde" app nie!

ReplyDeleteBaie waar wat jy se...sy gaan dan te oud wees of sy gaan hard praat met iemand se arme seuntjie en dan spat die k@k vir arme Ester...ouers en seuns is so blerrie ondankbaar maar snaaks genoeg bly hulle by Grey...vat die kind Sentraal of Saints toe. Asb tog! Obviously sukkel hy sy gat af om die mas op te kom by Grey!
